George Strait Picture
George Harvey Strait (born May 18, 1952) is an American country music artist. George Strait has marked a monumental career achievement by having more number one hit singles than any living artist, a total of 52, second only to the late Conway Twitty. Out of all the new country singers to emerge in the early '80s, George Strait stayed the closest to traditional country. Drawing from both the honky tonk and Western swing traditions, Strait didn't refashion the genres; instead, he revitalized them for a new decade. In the process, he became one of the most popular and influential singers of the decade, sparking a wave of neo-traditionalist singers from Randy Travis and Dwight Yoakam to Clint Black, Garth Brooks, and Alan Jackson.

Angel, Angelina Lyrics

George Strait

Chorus:
Angel, oh my angel, angelina
Heaven must be wonderin where you are
Mornin finds me prayin please let me keep her
Each night finds me wishin on a star
That always, oh always angelina
Youll be stayin right here in my arms
Sweetest of the sweet those ruby lips
No other has that touch ooh those fingertips
Bluest of the blue those sparklin eyes
Like had in glove we fit you know youre just my size
You and all your special ways and means
Oh I love you angelina
Chorus
Youll be stayin right here in my arms
Im back to bein me
Im back to bein nobody
The who I was before I was your used to be
Im back to bein me
Im back to who I was
Before I was the one who fell in love
With the one who never, ever was in love
Im back to bein me
These eyes that used to cry myself to sleep
Now theyre dry they dont lay me down to weep
For the first time in a long time I like seeing what I see
No thanks to you
Im back to bein me
These eyes that used to cry myself to sleep
Now theyre dry they dont lay me down to weep
For the first time in a long time I like seeing what I see
No thanks to you
Im back to bein me
Im back to bein me
Im back to bein nobody
The who I was before I was your used to be
Im back to bein me
Im back to who I was
Before I was the one who fell in love
With the one who never, ever was in love
Im back to bein me
Im back to bein me
Im back to bein me
